CGLIP Update PDF Print E-mail
We have concluded, as inferred at both the Oakville-AGM and the GAN-INFO meeting, that a 'court action' challenge of the pending premium increases for CGLIP coverage is ill advised due to the costs involved.

We have however sent an email to retirees from Maitland and Kingston site, who were hourly employees and union represented. This communication suggests that an alternative challenge avenue is available if a meaningful number of CGLIP participants, of the described background, were to request their union to initiate grievance action on their behalf. We have offered to work with such persons and assist them in making representation to their union executive.
